An annual event that revitalizes the art culture in Homestead while utilizing the attraction of visual and performing arts to gain community support towards developing local programs and showcasing professional artists and their artwork.


To highlight professional artists, support art and culture exposure, and encourage the purchase of local artwork. Raise funds to be donated to programs at participating local schools and/or community based organizations selected each year. Raise funds to execute Art in the Park, a free family community day. Provide an opportunity for schools and organizations to advertise their programs and engage with families and residents of the community. 


  1. Utilize art as an economic and cultural generator for Homestead

  2. Raise funds for programs at local schools while allowing the schools an opportunity to promote their programs (including but not limited to the arts, athletics, STEM, and other extra curriculum and/or magnet programs)

  3. Expose student talent and interact with the community 

  4. Annually highlight professional artists and encourage the purchase of local artwork

  5. To connect residents to the free resources and programs available throughout the school year and summer (including but not limited to health, out-of-school programs, and human resources)

  6. Create an inter-generational event to promote community engagement, student involvement, and collaborations while accessing residents needs via on-site surveys
